LEARNING TO FLY

I believe that there is hope for every soul to hear, understand, respond, and accept  Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
We all need that assurance in our lives to gain not only salvation, but Peace and joy as well.
At SUNRISE CHAPEL we believe in the Power to rise above the circumstances of life, and fly under the shadow of the Almighty.When I think about this, I am reminded of a story I was told as a young boy.
One day a baby Eagle fell from it's mother's nest into a chicken pen. The baby Eagle was taken in by a mother chicken, and quickly taught all of the chicken ways. For months the Eagle would walk around all day looking at the ground, only satisfied by pecking at what was in front of him.
One such day as the Eagle was looking down, he saw a shadow on the ground. After a moment of wonder he slowly looked up. He saw something in the sky that looked a lot like himself. It was another Eagle! Suddenly he realized that he was not born to live a life always looking down. He was born to fly. 
We who are in CHRIST JESUS were born again to fly above our trials, not walk around with our heads down only seeing what is before us. So stop hanging around the chickens, and start Learning To Fly!
