The Masterpiece

We have a saying here at Sunrise Chapel. "Come as you are, but don't plan on staying that way."
There is a wonderful verse in Psalm 40:2
  He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
​First God will find you where you are. Then He will bring you up from where you have been, then He will establish where you are going.
The word "Masterpiece" means original or one of a kind designed by the Master craftsman or artist. It is not a copy or a likeness, it is the real thing. It is also perfected under the direct influence of the Master. 
What this means is that you are a one of a kind masterpiece, formed and fashioned by our Master and Lord. 
Whatever condition you find yourself in today, know that it is only temporary. God is still working on you and your life. He is patiently and lovingly creating a one of a kind masterpiece in you.
