PASTOR’S MOMENTS |
Pastor Eddie B. Woodard
We had just started our drive back from vacation in Pigeon Forge, when God spoke to me about my journey in life. When I left Pigeon Forge my desire was to be home in Liberty. The problem is that there was no sign on the interstate that said "Liberty Is This Way". So that spoke to me, that in order to get to where I desire to be, I must know that it will take certain roads to lead me to the road that will take me home. I must know ahead of time which roads they are. I-40 says "This way to Knoxville". Once in Knoxville it then says "This way to Nashville". Once I am near Nashville it says "This way to I-65. I-65 says "This way to Elkton". Once in Elkton I then know my way home.
The point is that we all desire to be safe in the Will of God and in His Presence. It is a fearful thing when we do not know the paths that will lead us there. The Word of God, and the Holy Spirit as our GPS, can guide us home to Peace with God. The road of Discipline will lead to Obedience, which will lead to commitment. Commitment will lead you to the Peace and Joy of knowing you are finally home. May your journey lead you to a deeper fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ today and always. Be Blessed Pastor Eddie

There is a poem that I wrote many years ago that brings me a lot of peace. It reminds me of how precious life is, and that seizing every moment is important. I would like to share it with you this morning.
"The Lord has blessed me with another day. Shall I use it, or waste it away? If I use it, what shall I do? If I ponder too long, the day will be through. Then I'll lie down once more, when this day is done, and who knows but God, if it will be the last one." Psalms 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Enjoy this day for it shall never come again. Laugh today, Love today. and take time to invest your life into someone else. If it is the last one, make it the best one. Be Blessed Pastor Eddie We have a saying here at Sunrise Chapel. "Come as you are, but don't plan on staying that way."
There is a wonderful verse in Psalm 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. First God will find you where you are. Then He will bring you up from where you have been, then He will establish where you are going. The word "Masterpiece" means original or one of a kind designed by the Master craftsman or artist. It is not a copy or a likeness, it is the real thing. It is also perfected under the direct influence of the Master. What this means is that you are a one of a kind masterpiece, formed and fashioned by our Master and Lord. Whatever condition you find yourself in today, know that it is only temporary. God is still working on you and your life. He is patiently and lovingly creating a one of a kind masterpiece in you.
